Three-Hour Private Pottery Lesson
This one on one lesson is perfect for beginners or those with a little experience looking to develop their skills in throwing, and your successful piece will be glazed, fired, and posted to you.
 
When?
This voucher can be redeemed for a one-to-one pottery lesson with me. We can schedule your session on any day in May 2026. After you purchase the voucher, I’ll get in touch with you by email or phone to arrange a date and time that suits you.
 
What should I bring?
An apron will be provided, but wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy... Clay has a way of getting everywhere! It won’t stain or damage fabric, but I recommend bringing a spare set of clothes, including footwear, just in case.
 
Will there be a break?
Yes, we’ll take a short break about halfway through the session.
 
Can I take my piece home?
One suitable piece will be glazed, fired, and then sent to you by post. There’s a £5 charge for each additional item you choose to fire.
 
Who is this for?
This lesson is suitable for complete beginners as well as anyone who’s already familiar with the basics and wants to refine their technique.
 
Will there be more advanced lessons?
For those with some experience on the wheel, I can offer more focused lessons on making cups, mugs, lidded jars, and pouring spouts.
 
Where are the lesson held?
The lessons will be held in my new studio, located just outside the village of Dilwyn in Herefordshire, nestled between Leominster and Hay-on-Wye
