This bud vase was thrown using black stoneware and reduction fired in a gas kiln to around 1260c.
Shino glaze is a type of ceramic glaze that originated in Japan. Renowned for its unique characteristics, including a rustic and organic appearance, subtle variations in colour and texture. It often forms beautiful crackle patterns that have been favoured by potters for centuries.
Bud Vase
While all of my ceramics are designed to be dishwasher safe, I highly recommend hand washing to maintain its longevity. Please refrain from using it in microwaves as the intense heat can cause damage. Taking these simple precautions will help you enjoy your pottery for years to come.
