Carbon Trap Shino & Reduction Firing
Carbon trap shino is a glaze that creates smoky grays and blacks alongside classic warm Shino tones. During firing, carbon gets trapped in the glaze when oxygen is reduced at the right moment, leading to unpredictable, one-of-a-kind patterns.
Reduction firing limits oxygen in the kiln, forcing glazes to react in unique ways. It’s tricky to control—timing and atmosphere must be carefully managed—but the depth and richness it creates make the challenge worthwhile.

I recommend hand washing your ceramics rather than using a dishwasher, and I do not advise using them in a microwave.
